BOOK-OBJECT: MY LIFE

STATEMENT: Create a book-object using any material: watercolors, newspapers, color papers, cardboards, washi-tapes, pictures, cords, etc.

In my case, I decide to make a book-object about my life, because I though it would be a good project to keep as a memory or a personal album.
Moreover, it is a proposal that gives continuity; in other words, I can continue it as the years go by.

In this book-object, I have attached photographies of myself and my beloveds and also some personal stuff, such as sketches done when I was a child, handicrafts, quotes from my birth book, poems, travel tickets, etc.
The book is like an accordion in order to seem like a chronogram, since it shows my evolution along the years, starting from 1996 (my birth year) to 2016 (actual date).
The book-object can be divided in the six big periods that I have lived so far: Nursery school, Kindergarten, Primary School, High School, Bachillerato and University.
I have used all kind of materials and tools: color cardboards, fabrics, stamped papers, foam board, watercolor papers, washi-tapes, watercolors, markers, stickers, labels, color pens, glue, cutter, etc.
Some pages have unfoldable pieces of cardboard, which tell details of my life
In the book, there are pages that have "mini albums" which contain sketches done when I was a child or pictures of some trips
The cover and the back cover are done with foam board in which there are sticked pictures.
The pictures of the cover are ID photos, to show how I have grown and changed during the years
